Dock Studio 1.0
Dock Studio 1.0
The first downloadable release of Dock Studio: a native Mac app for arranging live widgets among your pinned Dock apps.
Included
- 16 local widgets: CPU + memory, Processor, Memory, Network, Storage, Power, Local time, World clock, Calendar, Focus timer, Stopwatch, Countdown, Uptime, System load, Thermal state, and Quick note.
- A drag-and-drop Dock preview with 2U, 3U, and 4U widths, five accent colors, and widget-specific settings.
- Saved drafts, explicit Apply, a menu-bar control, and guarded Dock restoration on quit.
Install
- Download Dock-Studio-1.0-arm64.dmg below.
- Open it and drag Dock Studio into Applications.
- Launch the app and enable it in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Accessibility when prompted.
- Arrange widgets in the preview and click Apply to Dock.
Requirements: Apple Silicon, macOS 14 or later, and a bottom-positioned Dock. The app and DMG are Developer ID signed, Apple-notarized, and stapled. SIP can remain enabled.
Known limitations
Applying a layout reloads the Dock briefly; seamless native relayout is not implemented. Multi-display, auto-hide, magnification, Spaces, and full-screen behavior need broader compatibility testing. This release has no external-service integrations, Intel build, automatic updater, or launch-at-login setting. Development and package validation were performed on macOS 27 beta; the deployment target is macOS 14.
Closing the editor keeps the widgets running. Quit and restore Dock removes the widget slots it can safely identify; the saved draft can be applied again on the next launch.
A SHA-256 checksum is included in SHA256SUMS.txt.
