🔹 Quick Update

This update is a small but useful enhancement following the previous release. It primarily focuses on improving the Winget updater/upgrader and optimizing system information printing for better performance.

🛠️ Fixes & Improvements

  • Winget Updater/Upgrader: Now automatically accepts source and package agreements, eliminating extra prompts.
  • Performance Enhancements: Optimized system information printing for improved speed and efficiency.

While this is a minor update, the previous release (v1.8.4-beta) introduced significant changes and improvements. For reference, we’ve included its release notes below.

🔧 Fixes & Improvements

  • Downloader Fixes: Fixed broken downloader links.
  • Username Handling: Updated variable logic to read the full username.
  • Program Updater: Now provides verbose logging, indicating progress and success/failure status.
  • Ninite Downloader: Now downloads and runs the installer directly, preventing a flashing browser window.
  • General Improvements: Various string/name changes.
  • Winget Migration: More components migrated to Winget to ensure reliable download links.
  • Hardware Details Update:
    • Replaced WMIC with PowerShell commands for retrieving CPU, GPU, and RAM details.
    • Ensures compatibility with future Windows versions as WMIC is being deprecated. More info
  • KeyGrabber Update: Refactored logic to retrieve data from new registry values, ensuring functionality on newer Windows versions.
  • Bug Fix: Fixed crashing issue (#167).

✨ New Features & Changes

  • CrystalDiskMark Rename: Renamed CrystalDiskMark.
  • HP Image Assistant (HPIA) Integration:
    • Added support for HP devices.
    • Currently opens the HPIA tool; automation for download and installation is being considered.
