Omni Browser v1.2.7.2

This release reorganizes personalization settings into dedicated screens, adds new app icon presets, introduces experimental live wallpapers and video controls, and includes performance and session clearance fixes.

Key Features & Highlights

  • Settings Redesign — Theme & Layout Split: Appearance settings have been reorganized into two focused sections:

    • Theme: Configure light/dark mode, accent colors, app icon presets, and force-dark website behavior.
    • Preferences & Layout: Adjust address bar positions, navigation bar behavior, and UI scaling.

  • New App Icon Presets: Added Aura Light as the default icon preset alongside Default, Dark, Aura Dark, and Light options.

Core Enhancements & Fixes

  • Smarter Force-Dark Mode: The force-dark web extension now detects sites with native dark theme support (meta color-scheme, prefers-color-scheme rules, computed background) before applying overrides to prevent rendering bugs.
  • Remote Wallpaper Downloads: Set wallpapers directly from remote URLs. Images and videos (mp4, webm, gif, jpg) are cached locally with progress indicators, and local file:// media can now be used as animated wallpapers.
  • Session & Endpoint Clearance Fix: Resolved browser and VPN endpoint session clearance issues (#44).
  • Multi-Language Support: Expanded localization coverage across 10+ locales (#44).
  • UI Improvements: Tab switcher accents now dynamically follow your chosen accent color.
