What's new

Highlights and notes

• Long-press text to select it, drag to extend, adjust with the handles.
• Copy, share or search the selection, highlight it in four colors, or add a note.
• A new Notes tab lists your highlights; share bookmarks and notes as text.

Search your library

• Search all recent documents at once and jump straight to the matching page.

Reading

• Page by page mode, with two pages side by side on tablets in landscape.
• Fit width or fit whole page in continuous mode.
• Page colors: sepia, night and night sepia. Option to keep the screen on.
• A Continue reading card on the home screen.

App

• Russian interface; switch the language in Settings.
• QuickPDF now checks for updates once a day and can install them for you (can be turned off in Settings).

Install

Download QuickPDF-1.1.0.apk below and open it on your device. If you have 1.0.1, it installs over it and keeps your files, bookmarks and positions. If you have 1.0.0, uninstall it first. From now on, updates are offered inside the app.

QuickPDF 1.0.0

Superseded by v1.0.1. This build is signed with a development key. Later versions use the project release key and cannot install over it: uninstall 1.0.0 first, then install the latest release.

First release of QuickPDF, a small, fast PDF reader for studying.

Highlights

• Full-text search with on-page highlighting and a results list. Ignores case and accents, and finds words hyphenated across line breaks.
• Scanned books become searchable with on-device OCR: ML Kit for Latin-script languages, Tesseract for Russian (models, 7.6 MB, download on first use).
• Fast navigation: edge scroller, go to page, table of contents, bookmarks, page thumbnails.
• Pinch/double-tap zoom, full-screen reading, night mode.
• Opens password-protected PDFs.

Install

Download QuickPDF-1.0.0.apk and open it on your phone (allow installs from your browser or file manager).

Requires Android 8.0+ on an ARM device (arm64-v8a or armeabi-v7a).

Note: this APK is signed with a debug key, not a release key. A future build signed with a different key won't install over it; uninstall first in that case.
