🎉 Release v8.0.0 – Payload Validation, Normalized Metrics & Schema Improvements

This release focuses on improving data consistency and reliability across the system. On the air-sync service, Arduino payloads are now validated before processing, preventing incomplete data from blocking pending payloads. The frontend introduces normalized sensor values, new metric selection for charts, and better responsiveness. Finally, the backend schema has been updated to allow null values in air quality averages, ensuring more flexible data handling.

Frontend

  • Ability to select which type of metric to display in charts. Supported metrics now include:

    • TVOC (Total Volatile Organic Compounds)
    • CO₂ (Carbon Dioxide)
    • NOx (Nitrogen Oxides)
    • PM1.0, PM2.5, PM10 (Particulate Matter)
    • Air Temperature
    • Relative Humidity

  • New gauge for displaying coarse particulate matter levels.

AirSync

  • Validation for Arduino payloads to ensure completeness before processing.
    This prevents incomplete payloads from being saved into the pending payloads file and causing API request failures.

🛠️ Changed

Frontend

  • Updated AirQualityAverageSchema to allow null values.
  • Displayed values now use sensor-compensated readings instead of raw data.
  • Improved heading layout on mobile screens for better readability.

Backend

  • Updated AirQualityAverageSchema to allow null values.
