v1.1.0 - Icon Cache Fix & Size Selection
What's New
Bug Fixes
- Fixed icon extraction for system files: Added application manifest that properly declares DPI awareness and Windows compatibility settings. This resolves the issue where Windows would return generic cached icons instead of actual file icons for executables in Program Files and other protected directories.
New Features
- Size selection parameter: Added
-sizeparameter to specify desired icon resolution. Choose from 16, 32, 48, 64, 128, or 256 pixels to get the exact size you need.
Usage Examples
Extract icon at default size (256x256):
extracticon.exe file.exe icon.png
Extract icon at specific size:
extracticon.exe file.exe icon.png -size 64
