Installing latest version of pytorch

Hi,
I'm trying to install the latest version of pytorch built with TheRock and am having problem. Following the instruction from https://github.com/ROCm/TheRock/blob/main/RELEASES.md#torch-for-gfx120X-all, running

python -m pip install --index-url https://rocm.nightlies.amd.com/v2/gfx120X-all/ --pre torch torchaudio torchvision

always install version dated 1015 as shown below. But I can see that there are newer versions in the repository. Ideally I'd like to install torch 2.9 but 2.10 will do also. I'm trying to see if my Radeon AI Pro has gotten any faster. Though it runs, its performance is very bad at the moment using the latest release. Also, pytorch nightly build from https://download.pytorch.org/whl/nightly/rocm7.1/ does not install properly either.

try adding --upgrade for sanity. You might want to pin the installed version back a few days though. Try a20251109 or older. 11/11 and 11/12 might be broken atm.

torch-2.10.0a0+rocm7.10.0a20251015 seems to be the latest we have in https://rocm.nightlies.amd.com/v2/gfx120X-all/torch/. This is most likely due to infra issue on our tests runners, causing tests to fail (see for example https://github.com/ROCm/TheRock/actions/runs/19292043000). As a result wheels do not get promoted from v2-staging to v2. You can install from https://rocm.nightlies.amd.com/v2-staging/gfx120X-all/ if you really want to try a newer version (this has torch-2.9.0+rocm7.10.0a20251112 and torch-2.10.0a0+rocm7.10.0a20251112 among others) but as mentioned, those did not passed tests and were therefore not be promoted! So do not expect them to be as stable as promoted ones.
