Shelly v7.0.0 — On-device autonomous agent

The headline of this release: Shelly can now register a scheduled on-device agent from plain language, and run it unattended — even with the screen off, on your own keys and tools.

Type @agent and an instruction in natural language. Shelly turns it into a scheduled agent that fires on its own Android alarm (setExactAndAllowWhileIdle, designed to fire under Doze), runs on-device, and tells you when it ran.

Honest status (N=1): one unattended, screen-off run has been observed end-to-end on a single Galaxy Z Fold6 (app cached at fire time). Cross-manufacturer / deep-Doze reliability is not proven yet — Android background limits vary by OEM (Samsung / Xiaomi / Oppo / OnePlus battery-freezers). Grant the battery-optimization exemption and check the agent's run view. This is a capability you point at your own tools, not a guaranteed daily cron.

• Per-agent reliability surface — the agent detail view shows next run, last run (time · status · duration · error), and a missed-run warning if an expected run didn't record.
• Codex runtime 0.142.0 — bundled + managed-update runtime bumped.
• README — two-reviewer honesty + freshness pass (N=1 kept honest across the doc; release metadata refreshed).

Install

Download the APK below, or update from inside the app (Settings → Updates / the cloud-download button). Android will ask you to confirm the install because Shelly is distributed outside the Play Store.
