Login rewards

Login rewards

Login rewards are for daily/weekly/monthly-style incentives - reward a player just for showing up again, with no requirement to stay online at all. They're granted automatically the instant a player joins, as long as enough time has passed since they last claimed that specific reward.

Example

login-reward:
  daily:
    permission: ""
    time: "1d"
message: "&aThanks for logging in today! Here's your daily reward."
    execute: 'CONSOLE'
    commands:
      - "give %player% golden_apple 1"

  weekly:
    permission: ""
    time: "7d"
message: "&6A whole week of logins - here's a weekly bonus!"
    execute: 'CONSOLE'
    commands:
      - "give %player% emerald 5"

  monthly:
    permission: ""
    time: "1mo"
message: "&dThanks for a month of playing! Enjoy this monthly reward."
    execute: 'CONSOLE'
    commands:
      - "give %player% netherite_ingot 1"

The key difference: time is an interval, not a wait

For offline and online rewards, time is something the player has to wait through. For login rewards, time is simply how often it can be claimed - time: "1d" means "once every 24 hours", checked the moment they log in, regardless of how long that session or any previous one lasted.

This means daily, weekly, monthly, and any custom cadence you like ("12h", "3d", "2mo", anything the Time formatter supports) can all sit side by side in the same login-reward section - just give each entry the interval you want.

How it works

  1. A player joins.
  2. For every entry under login-reward the player has permission for, the plugin checks whether enough time has passed since it was last claimed.
  3. Any that are due are granted immediately - no GUI interaction needed.
  4. Each entry then goes back on cooldown for its own time value before it can be claimed again.

The Reward GUI also lists login rewards (as read-only entries showing their cadence and cooldown) so players can see what's coming and when, even though they can't click to claim them manually.
