ZanyonLocker™ Wiki - New Version Numbering

We use regular version numbering, currently.

But I have a note for new versioning.

What I Mean

By "New Version Numbering", I mean versioning of new versions of ZanyonLocker™.

But, you see Android used to be versioned with a major and minor version, like Android 2.3. Now new versions of ZanyonLocker™, starting from ZanyonLocker™ v10.0, I will:

• Drop the v for "version"

• Drop the minor version

• Make it professional

Which means, it still has the internal versioning like ZanyonLocker™ v10.0.0, but everywhere else, like Android or Windows versioning, it will officially switch to something more professional.

From ZanyonLocker™ v10.0.0 to ZanyonLocker™ 10.

Internal Versioning

Internal versioning meaning the version of ZanyonLocker™ in, for example, the app's Properties in Windows, it will show ZanyonLocker™ v10.0.0 or whatever version you are using.

External Versioning / Short Versioning

External or short versioning meaning, the version shown everywhere else to you and the world. For example:

ZanyonLocker™ v12.0 Properties

Internal Version: ZanyonLocker™ v12.0.0

External / Short Version: ZanyonLocker™ 12

The example above explains how ZanyonLocker™'s versioning will change starting from ZanyonLocker™ v10.0. No more boring v's and major and minor versioning — now it'll be ZanyonLocker™ 10!

Other Name

If External or Short versioning sounds boring or too old-school, another name is:

Modern versioning

meaning, versioning that is new and modern, as even shown in the title and heading.
