In-app updates: PiDesk checks GitHub Releases 5 s after launch and every 24 h (toggle: Settings โ "check for updates automatically"), and shows a banner with the release notes. "Update now" downloads, verifies the signature and installs in the app, then offers "Restart to finish"; "Later" and "Skip this version" dismiss it. Settings also has a version row with a manual "Check for updates" button. Built on tauri-plugin-updater (src-tauri/src/update.rs: check_update / install_update / restart_app); on installs that cannot self-update (e.g. .deb) the banner offers "Download manually". Maintainers: releases now require the TAURI_SIGNING_PRIVATE_KEY / TAURI_SIGNING_PRIVATE_KEY_PASSWORD repo secrets (the matching public key is already in plugins.updater.pubkey); on Windows the omp child processes are stopped just before the installer launches, and the plugin's IPC is not exposed to the webview โ see MANUAL.md โ "In-app updates". Versions before the first updater-enabled release must be upgraded manually once.

Automatically bypasses Gatekeeper quarantine, no extra command needed.
Manual DMG (.dmg):
Download .dmg (aarch64 for Apple Silicon, x64 for Intel). If macOS says "PiDesk is damaged and can't be opened"๏ผๆ็คบๅทฒๆๅ๏ผ, run this command in terminal to clear the quarantine attribute:
xattr -cr /Applications/PiDesk.app

Download .msi (recommended) or .exe installer.
