Feature Updates

Import WAV files (Windows and MacOS)

  • Import WAV files directly, no more need to convert to .wem using Wwise!
  • WAV files now appear in and can be imported from the workspace panel.
  • You must have Wwise installed on your computer.
    • Not supported for Linux (Wwise doesn't support Linux).
  • WAV files must be uncompressed linear PCM format.

Automate imports using a specification file

  • Use a specification file to define which file(s) on your computer will replace which Helldivers audio files.
  • Supports both .wem and .wav imports.
  • Name your audio files however you like when using a specification file, no need to include the file ID.
  • Use Import -> Import using spec.json to import using your specification file.
  • Guide on writing the specification file (scroll down to Step 5)

Audio archive search

  • Search for audio archives to open from within the modding tool using friendly names (i.e. "Autocannon")
  • Requires this database file to work.
    • For now, the database file will need to be manually updated

Bug Fixes/Other

  • Audio playback now works for channel numbers higher than 6.
  • Check for steamapps folder is no longer case sensitive.
  • You can now skip selecting a Helldivers data folder by hitting "Cancel" on the warning popup.
  • Added warning popups for if files are missing and/or features are disabled.
  • Included build scripts (configure.sh/configure.ps1, build.sh/build.ps1) for if you want to build the executable yourself.
    • Still need to install the prerequisites:
      • brew install portaudio for MacOS
      • apt install python3-tk portaudio19-dev python-all-dev for Ubuntu Linux
