Welcome to Secure Notes v1.1.0! This major release transforms the app into a comprehensive, privacy-first digital vault. Built with React Native and Expo, this update introduces bank-grade hardware encryption, multi-layered biometric security, and dedicated modules for managing your most sensitive data—completely offline.

What's New

Advanced Security Architecture

Hardware-Backed Encryption: All vault data is now encrypted using AES-256-GCM and stored securely in the device's native Keystore/Keychain.

Biometric Authentication: Seamless Fingerprint/FaceID login with device passcode fallback.

Dual-Layer Timeout System: * Inactivity Guard: Automatically locks the app when minimized or placed in the background for a user-defined period.

    Session Timeout: A forced absolute lock after a continuous period of usage to prevent unauthorized access if the device is left unlocked.

Brute Force Protection: Optional security protocol that automatically shreds/wipes all encrypted data after 5 failed authentication attempts.

Enhanced Categorized Vault

Passwords & Passkeys: Dedicated secure storage for credentials, featuring a live Time-Based One-Time Password (TOTP) Generator for 2FA secrets.

Secure Reminders & Events: Integrated native Date/Time pickers for scheduling private events and tasks, complete with status tracking.

Smart UI/UX: A new "All" dashboard with layout toggling (List/Grid), chronological sorting, and visual type-badges for quick data retrieval.

System & Settings Integration

Native Share System: Invite friends to the GitHub repository directly via native iOS/Android share sheets (WhatsApp, Telegram, etc.) or via the built-in QR code generator.

In-App Feedback: A categorized feedback system (Review, Suggestion, Report) securely integrated with native mail clients for direct communication.

Storage Monitor: Real-time tracking of the 2MB SecureStore limit to ensure optimal database health.

Framework: React Native / Expo

State Management: React Context API (AuthContext, ThemeContext)

Local Storage: expo-secure-store (Encrypted) & @react-native-async-storage/async-storage (Preferences)

UI Components: Glassmorphism design system, Reanimated bottom-sheet modals, and Expo Haptics for tactile feedback.

Installation Instructions (Android)

Download the SecureNotes-v1.1.0.apk file attached below under Assets.

Transfer the APK to your Android device (if downloaded on a PC).

Open the file on your device. Note: You may need to enable "Install unknown apps" from your device settings or file manager.

Follow the on-screen prompts to install.

Launch the app and set up your biometric lock!

Zero Telemetry: Secure Notes does not connect to any external databases. Your passwords, passkeys, and notes never leave your device. If you uninstall the app or trigger the Brute Force wipe, your data is permanently destroyed. Please keep manual backups of critical information.
