If you don't have .NET 4.0 already, download it: https://dotnet.microsoft.com/en-us/download/dotnet-framework/net40

The .zip contains: BetterSearch.dll + VegasProData.dll for the different versions.
Extract it to the correct paths, or download them both separately.

VEGAS Pro 13 AND below: BetterSearch13.dll
VEGAS Pro 14 AND above: BetterSearch14.dll

This project uses VegasProData's 1.0.3 release which can be downloaded here: https://github.com/RatinA0/VegasProData/releases/tag/1.0.3
[ You might have to remove the 13/14 from the end of the files so they can find each other properly. ]

if the folder doesn't exist already then create a new one with the exact same name,
optimally you should put it in the first folder but you can use the others:

  • C:\Users\...\Documents\Vegas Application Extensions\
  • C:\Users\...\AppData\Local\Vegas Pro\Application Extensions\
  • C:\Users\...\AppData\Roaming\Vegas Pro\Application Extensions\
  • C:\Program Data\Vegas Pro\Application Extensions\
