🐛 Fix

• Fixed authentication crash after upgrading to better-auth@1.7. better-auth 1.7 scopes account identity by (issuer, accountId) and adds a required issuer column to the account table. Because better-auth refuses to add a required column to an already-populated table, existing installs crashed on start with SqliteError: no such column: account.issuer.

  BorgWarehouse now runs an automatic, idempotent migration on startup that adds the issuer column and backfills every existing account, following better-auth's official 1.7 upgrade guide:

  • credential accounts → issuer = local:credential, with accountId set to the user id
  • social & generic OIDC accounts → issuer = local:oauth:<providerId>

  ✅ No action required. The migration runs by itself on the first start after the update. Password, social, and generic OIDC logins keep working with no re-linking needed.

  ℹ️ You may see a harmless Column "issuer" ... stays nullable warning on each start. This is expected and can be ignored : see the FAQ for details.

  ⚠️ For Borgwarehouse with OAuth/OIDC generic provider, remember to change your URI, according to 3.6.1 changelog.
