🐛 Fix
-
Fixed authentication crash after upgrading to
better-auth@1.7. better-auth 1.7 scopes account identity by(issuer, accountId)and adds a requiredissuercolumn to theaccounttable. Because better-auth refuses to add a required column to an already-populated table, existing installs crashed on start withSqliteError: no such column: account.issuer.BorgWarehouse now runs an automatic, idempotent migration on startup that adds the
issuercolumn and backfills every existing account, following better-auth's official 1.7 upgrade guide:- credential accounts →
issuer = local:credential, withaccountIdset to the user id - social & generic OIDC accounts →
issuer = local:oauth:<providerId>
✅ No action required. The migration runs by itself on the first start after the update. Password, social, and generic OIDC logins keep working with no re-linking needed.
ℹ️ You may see a harmless
Column "issuer" ... stays nullablewarning on each start. This is expected and can be ignored : see the FAQ for details.⚠️ For Borgwarehouse with OAuth/OIDC generic provider, remember to change your URI, according to 3.6.1 changelog. - credential accounts →
