1.1.1
Fixed
- The local player stays off after a console restart or Decky reload, including existing installations that previously saved an enabled player. SpotiDeck no longer starts Soloist or selects the handheld's Spotify Connect receiver just because the plugin is installed and configured.
- Spotify status reads begin when the plugin panel is opened. Opening the panel does not start the local player or transfer playback from another device.
Added
- Start player on this handheld on the main page starts and selects the local receiver on request. The regular Play button continues to control the currently selected Spotify device.
Changed
- Saved credentials, Soloist pairing and player choice are preserved. After a manual start, music continues when QAM closes; after a console restart or Decky reload, start the local player again when needed.
- Updated setup instructions and player status guidance to explain manual startup.
Internal
- Added regression tests for saved configurations, explicit startup, Decky reloads and keeping remote Play separate from local player startup.
- Verified on Legion Go 2 that the player stays off after Decky reload and panel opening, starts from the new button, and stays off after another reload. Full console reboot was not part of this live check.
Install
Download SpotiDeck-1.1.1.zip, then in Decky: gear icon, Developer, Install Plugin from ZIP File.
1.1.0
Added
- Spotify Flatpak is available as an alternative local player in Settings. Play/pause, skipping, seeking, volume and game audio balance remain accessible from the same QAM interface.
- Open or stop the Spotify app directly from the plugin. Use the desktop app to manage audio quality and downloads; SpotiDeck's search, library and queue still require an internet connection.
Changed
- Soloist remains the default and recommended player, with an explanation of its lower memory and power use beside the player selector. Explicit player choices survive restarts, and switching engines preserves the Soloist key and pairing.
- Switching from Flatpak back to Soloist closes the Spotify app to release its resources. Closing QAM alone keeps music playing.
- The Decky plugin menu now uses SpotiDeck's own handheld/music icon instead of the Spotify logo.
Fixed
- Returning to SpotiDeck after selecting another playback device starts an enabled Soloist player when needed and waits for it to become ready. An explicitly stopped player stays stopped, and device selection does not start music automatically.
- Recover a Soloist process left behind by a Decky reload after verifying that it belongs to this plugin's private session, so it no longer blocks the new player from starting.
Internal
- Verify the Flatpak media interface and local audio before linking its Spotify Connect device. Unconfirmed playback commands are not repeated through the Web API.
- Added regression coverage for player selection, saved preferences, process ownership, desktop playback and command failures. Validation passed 358 backend tests on Linux, 76 frontend tests, type checking and the production build.
