Installation

Requirements

• Farming Simulator 2025 (any version)
• No other mods required - the mod is fully standalone

Warning

Not compatible with Precision Farming (FS25_precisionFarming). If Precision Farming is active in your mod manager, this mod will detect it at startup and automatically disable itself with an on-screen dialog. You must choose one or the other. If PF is installed but disabled in the mod manager, this mod will run normally.

Installing from ModHub / KingMods

1. Find Realistic Soil & Fertilizer in the ModHub or KingMods
2. Click Download / Subscribe
3. Launch the game and enable the mod in the Mod Manager before starting or loading a save

Installing manually (zip file)

1. Download FS25_SoilFertilizer.zip from the Releases page
2. Place the zip file (do not unzip it) into your mods folder:
   • Windows: Documents\My Games\FarmingSimulator2025\mods\
   • Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/FarmingSimulator2025/mods/
3. Launch the game - the mod will appear in the Mod Manager

Verifying the mod loaded

After loading a save or starting a new career, open the developer console with the ~ key and type:

soilStatus

You should see a status printout showing Enabled: true and the current difficulty. If the console shows an error, check log.txt (see Troubleshooting).

Multiplayer and dedicated servers

• The mod works the same way in multiplayer - install it on the server and on all clients
• Settings are controlled by the server admin; clients cannot change them
• Dedicated servers are fully supported - the full simulation runs without any GUI overhead; see Multiplayer and Dedicated Servers

Updating

Replace the zip in your mods folder with the new version. Existing save data (soilData.xml) is fully compatible across patch versions - no migration required.
