RecklessMuse 1.1.0

New: Favorites

  • ♥ LIKE button in the Programmer section adds / removes the current preset from your favourites.
  • Favorites bank: first stop of the BANK button; inside it, < > only browse your liked presets.
  • Click the display to open a browser menu: Favorites first, then every category (liked presets are marked ♥).
  • Favourites are stored in ~/Music/RecklessMuse/Favorites.xml, shared by every project and plug-in instance, and work for factory and user presets.

Also includes the 1.0.1 fixes (arpeggiator / sequencer stop with the MIDI notes, centred mono sounds).

Download RecklessMuse-macOS.zip, unzip, then in Terminal: cd ~/Downloads/RecklessMuse && ./install.sh

RecklessMuse 1.0.1

Bug fixes:

  • Arpeggiator / sequencer no longer keep playing after the MIDI notes end. Factory "Sequence" presets no longer have Latch enabled, and the built-in sequencer now plays only while a key is held (or when LATCH / HOLD is on).
  • Transport stop and All Notes Off now stop the arpeggiator and the sequencer, even when latched.
  • Mono and unison sounds are centred. Pan spread used to push the single mono voice to the left; it now only spreads polyphonic voices.
  • Safety net: a voice or the output stage recovers automatically instead of staying silent if an invalid value ever appears.
  • New regression tests (notes stop, sequencer gating, transport stop, stereo balance) and a DAW-like stress test.

RecklessMuse 1.0.0

First release: an 8-voice bitimbral analog-modelled polysynth inspired by the Moog Muse.

Download RecklessMuse-macOS.zip (universal binary, Apple Silicon + Intel, macOS 11+), unzip, then in Terminal:

cd ~/Downloads/RecklessMuse && ./install.sh

Contents: VST3, Audio Unit and Standalone app, 267 factory presets.
Builds are not notarised by Apple; the install script removes the download quarantine.

Validated in CI with auval (AU) and pluginval strictness 5 (VST3).
