Pre-release

Note:
Only patches icons and installs themes. Extras are not implemented. This preview is just to get user feedback on icon patching and theme implementation. DONT INSTALL THIS ON YOUR MAIN, ITS A PRE-RELEASE, IT TENDS TO BE BUGGY (Might get extra buggy on arm64).

Changes since previous RP:

  • Fixed addressbar issues
  • Implemented themes
  • Some more new icons

Instructions:

  • Run Rectify11installer.exe
  • Alt-f4 can actually close the installer while its working, keep it in mind.
  • To change themes, you MUST use the "Change Themes" options given in Control panel -> Appearance and Themes.
  • If you find any bugs, be sure to report them to Rectify11 Discord server: https://discord.gg/rectify11-development-hub-972654790536482896

v3.0 Release Preview 2

Pre-release

Note:
Only patches icons. Themes and extras are not implemented. This preview is just to get user feedback on icon patching, aka the hardest thing out of all.

Instructions:

  • Its not complete, please don't run it on your main PC, we won't be responsible if you don't read this thing carefully.
  • You MUST delete ANY folder named "Rectify11" present in C:\Windows, if it exists.
  • Report any bug you experience, to Rectify11 team in Rectify11 Development Hub Discord server: https://discord.gg/rectify11-development-hub-972654790536482896

Known issues:

  • Pressing alt-f4 can actually close the installer in mid-installation, so keep that in mind.
  • Some icons in MMCs might still remain vista/7 icons (due to the fact that alot of them are in GAC, we will have to implement separate logic for that later on)
  • Might fail if you ever tempered with permissions on any system files before.
  • 32 Bit ODBC still has the old icon, we were having a bit of trouble with it lately.
  • May show unexpected behavior on Windows 10, or on leaked Windows 11 builds.
