For example, you download Depressure repository from GitHub, and ZIP file with Compiler and Linker, find and download OVFM.fd`.

Now you make some changes in code, or add your modules, builded it and test in QEMU, but how to test it at real hardware?

Making ready

For start, check if you have installed OSFMount, its very easy for making this.

Making disk and make bootable

Now open OSFMount, click Mount New, select Empty RAM drive. In opened menu select Drive size as 5-20 MB, click Next.

In new menu select checkbox Mount as removable media, and this parameters:

  • Drive emulation: Physical Drive Emulation
  • Drive type: HDD

Now click Mount. If you made everything correctly, after click, you see Microsoft Windows window that informate you about format new disk. Click Format, don't change parameters and click Start and Ok, wait before formatting end, and open Explorer.

Now find new disk, for example at my computer is a disk E:, now open it, and copy every files from your copy of Depressure (folder image/) copy every folders from image/, is a EFI and Depressure, after that you can copy LICENSE files from original ISO and .INF/ICO files.

End

Now after copying every needed folders and files at disk, close Explorer. Now click at disk in OSFMount, open menu, and click Save to image file..., and save as ISO format, after save, click Dismount all & Exit, now you have bootable ISO disk with Depressure.
