🎬 PotFlix Streamer v2.0.0

PotFlix Streamer officially enters version 2.0.0 with a brand-new, polished UI and vastly improved features for local FTP movie streaming.

✨ What’s New in This Release:**

🔥 Native YouTube Trailers: A seamless new "Watch Trailer" button now appears in the movie details popup. It automatically fetches official TMDB trailers and plays them beautifully right inside the app using a sleek 16:9 cinematic dark overlay.

🧠 Smart Search Deduplication: Previously, searching would pull multiple identical posters if a movie had multiple qualities (e.g., both a 720p and 1080p folder). The backend search index now intelligently merges identical movies, automatically presenting the highest-available video quality.

🎯 Exact-Year Metadata Matching: Fixed a bug where massive Hollywood classics (like The Godfather 1972) would forcibly overwrite the metadata of contemporary regional releases (like the Indian GodFather 2022). The TMDB search algorithm now utilizes strict release-year mapping to guarantee exact metadata matches.

🖥️ UI & Layout Polish: Resolved visual overlapping and padding bugs. The Browse, Search, and Category views are now cleanly pushed beneath the transparent navigation bar on all pages. Included the "♥ By Reduan" portfolio credit directly inside the app navbar!

⚡ Blazing Fast Background Caching: Rebuilt the startup logic to write indexing to disk (search_cache.json). The app boots dramatically faster by loading local data and completely bypasses heavy FTP fetches until data hits a 12-hour timeout.

  • Under Assets below, download PotFlix Setup 2.0.0.exe.

  • Run the installer and stream straight to VLC Media Player!
