2026.9.2-a5
Pre-releasePre-release. Adds a Compatibility rendering option for devices where the map still flickers while rotating, after the a4 grade fix did not settle it on every phone or tablet. Supersedes 2026.9.2-a4.
Compatibility rendering (#396, #370)
Some Android WebViews still flicker on the 3D-transformed map even after the a4 fix, and the automatic detection cannot always catch them. A new Compatibility rendering toggle in the card options forces a simpler, more compatible way of drawing the ground (no 3D transform, a per-frame redraw instead), which avoids the glitch at the cost of slightly less smooth rotation. Off by default: it is the manual fallback for the devices the auto-detection misses. Translated to every language.
Still in from a4
The weather grade baked into the paint (a lighter, less flickery map), the energy diagram now drawn on top of the sun path (#397), and the steadier cost chip on coarse meters (#395).
How to test
Update to 2026.9.2-a5 (HACS pre-release) and check that the card really shows a5 in HACS: a browser reload alone does not update the installed version. If the map flickers while you rotate it, open the card options and turn on Compatibility rendering, then rotate again and let me know whether the flicker is gone.
