The first Linux release. x86_64, built for X11.

Easiest path is relic.space/download/linux. The full story on what works and what does not is in docs/linux.md.

The two Linux files here were built by CI from this tag. The downloads served at relic.space are the same source built on the release machine, so their hashes are not the same bytes as these. Both sets:

Worth knowing

  • X11 gets everything: the global hotkey, summoning the window, and pasting your pick back into the app you were using. Wayland hands no app a global hotkey or synthetic keystrokes, so Relic says the hotkey is unavailable rather than failing quietly. It still captures and syncs.
  • Stock GNOME has no tray. Relic asks the session bus who owns StatusNotifierWatcher before telling you where to look, so it points you at your shortcut instead of at an icon that is not there.
  • On-device AI ships in the box. sift and libonnxruntime.so sit beside the app in both artifacts. Nothing downloads at install time, nothing leaves your machine.
  • The vault lives in $XDG_DATA_HOME/relic (usually ~/.local/share/relic).
  • No aarch64 build and no distro packages yet.
