Share projects with clients: no account needed

Share a whole project, a single folder, or a hand-picked set of files with anyone through a link. Guests can review, comment, approve and upload without signing up.

Sharing

  • Share Project, Share This Folder, Share Selection from the Share menu and the selection bar.
  • Per-link settings: expiry date, guest uploads, downloads, and an optional password.
  • Links tab lists every project, folder, selection and file link with its settings, views and last access. Links can be copied, opened or revoked from there.

Guest portal

  • Browse folders, search, download single files or everything as a zip.
  • Open any file to review it: comments, drawings, Approve / Request changes, and previous/next through the folder.
  • Upload files (with progress) and move your own uploads between folders.
  • A dedicated phone layout for reviewing on mobile.
  • Guest comments, approvals and uploads are credited by name, and the project team gets notified.

Also in this release

  • Bulk copy to another project and delete a whole version stack from the project page.
  • Newer review viewers (image, PDF, video, web capture) with a 360° view for panoramas.
  • Private files now load everywhere they're shown: the review page, version compare, downloads and zips use signed links.
  • The asset-intelligence worker reads private originals through signed links.
  • Fixed the project Links tab, which failed to load.

Upgrading a self-hosted install

  1. Pull, then run pnpm install (adds marzipano for the 360° viewer).
  2. Run pnpm start as usual. Two new migrations add the project-sharing columns to your existing database; your data is kept, and no reset is needed.
  3. If Supabase was already running, restart it (supabase stop then pnpm start) so the new edge functions load: project-share, project-share-comment, project-share-upload, api-project-shares.
  4. pnpm start adds PUBLIC_SUPABASE_URL to .env automatically (see .env.example).

Known limitations

  • Camera RAW, live-website, HTML5 banner, audio and text files show a download card instead of a preview.
  • Guest uploads go up in one piece, up to 2 GB per file.
  • PDFs don't get a thumbnail cover.
