What's new

  • Crash fixer: when a game crashes, ResinCraft tells you what went wrong (a missing or incompatible mod, the mod that crashed, the wrong Java, not enough memory) and offers a fix for each. Fix all and play again does them all and starts the game. Nothing changes until you press a button.
  • Change an instance's version: pick another Minecraft version, loader or loader version from the instance's settings, or click the version chip on the instance page.
  • ResinCraft Java flags for games: games now start with tuned G1GC garbage collection for smoother frames. You can turn it off in Settings → Java, or per instance. If your own JVM arguments choose a collector, yours are used instead.
  • Whitelist requests: turn them on per server and players can ask to join through a web page (https://rscraft.resincore.tech/join/<name>, open while the server is online) or through your own Discord bot (/whitelist). Accept, Reject or Reject and block in the server's Players tab. Banned players are told they can't ask.
  • Live player list: a running server is asked who's online every 5 seconds.
  • Server Java flags: choose ResinCraft's flags or the modpack's own (ResinCraft's are the default).
  • Restart button and a ⋯ menu in the server header.
  • Updates in the title bar: an Update button shows when a new version is ready. Before updating, ResinCraft offers to close running games and servers. New silent updates option installs in the background once nothing is running.
  • System tray mode: closing the window keeps ResinCraft running in the tray, so hosted servers, the Discord bot and downloads go on. Quit from the tray icon.
  • Mod switches flip straight away and save in the background.

Fixes

  • Client-only mods on servers are now turned off (.jar.disabled) instead of moved, and ResinCraft remembers which ones it turned off. A server crash caused by one turns that mod off and starts the server again.
  • The Create server dialog closes as soon as you press Create.
