Directions:

  • Download the release image and flash it with balenaEtcher or Rufus.
  • Insert the card into SS1 and wait for the automatic installer to complete. If the system doesn't boot into MiSTer FPGA after the installer finishes, repeat the flashing process.

Note:

  • If you are migrating an existing card with games and data, back up your /games/, /saves/, and /savestates/ directories to your computer before flashing. You can copy them over after the installation finishes.
  • Stock Mr. Fusion installs can replace their linux.img file with the one in this release.

Changes:

  • Improve installer reliability
  • Improve/Fix Issues with cards over 256GB
  • Update included cores and other files to the latest release as of July 6th 2026
  • Add Homebrew artwork staging for Console Mode release
  • Update factory ini files
  • Linux binary updated to 24ecf64 to fix stalled Linux reboot commands when users have an unpopulated SSD slot. Spoofed /MiSTer.version to 050402 to bypass the equality check in update.sh. This check would force a Linux binary downgrade with the default update_linux=true option in downloader.ini.
