🚀 Installation (Recommended)

🎯 Use the included install scripts for best results:

Linux

🛠️ What The Install Scripts Do

The install scripts provide intelligent, platform-specific installation:

  • ✅ Install libraries to proper user directories (~/.local/lib/)
  • ✅ Install Radare2 plugin to $(radare2 -H R2_USER_PLUGINS)
  • ✅ Fix rpath/library paths so plugins can find dependencies
  • ✅ Set up environment with helper scripts for easy usage
  • ✅ Verify installation and provide clear success/error messages

📋 Manual Installation (Advanced)

If you prefer manual installation or the scripts don't work:

Exact File Locations

Shared Libraries:

  • Linux: ~/.local/lib/libreai.so
  • macOS: ~/.local/lib/libreai.dylib
  • Windows: %USERPROFILE%\.local\bin\reai.dll + %USERPROFILE%\.local\lib\reai.lib

Radare2 Plugin:

  • All platforms: Copy to $(radare2 -H R2_USER_PLUGINS)

Windows Additional Dependencies:

  • libcurl.dll → %USERPROFILE%\.local\bin\
  • libcurl_imp.lib → %USERPROFILE%\.local\lib\
  • reai_radare.lib → Plugin directory

⚠️ Important: On Unix systems, you may need to set environment variables:

export LD_LIBRARY_PATH="$HOME/.local/lib:$LD_LIBRARY_PATH"  # Linux
export DYLD_LIBRARY_PATH="$HOME/.local/lib:$DYLD_LIBRARY_PATH"  # macOS

✅ Verification

After installation, verify the plugin works:

Radare2:

radare2 /bin/ls
[0x00000000]> reai help
# Should display RevEngAI plugin help

Check plugin loading:

radare2 -c "L" /bin/ls | grep reai
# Should show the loaded reai plugin

📝 Configuration

Create a configuration file at ~/.creait:

api_key = YOUR_REVENGAI_API_KEY
host = https://api.reveng.ai

🔧 Requirements

  • Radare2 5.9.8 or compatible version
  • Internet connection for RevEngAI API access
  • Valid RevEngAI API key from https://portal.reveng.ai

Platform-specific:

  • Linux: patchelf tool for rpath fixing (sudo apt install patchelf)
  • macOS: Xcode command line tools for rpath fixing (xcode-select --install)
  • Windows: PowerShell (included with Windows)
