Licencing & expires licence

What happens if the licence expires?

  • Whatever code the generator created for you during an active licence will remain and can be used indefinitely.

What if I run the generator with an expired licence?

  • The generator will still work, but falls back to a Trial licence, limited to reverse engineering 10 tables/views and 10 stored procedures/functions.
  • Any extra tables/views/stored procedures or functions over the 10 threshold will be deleted.
  • Every table counts towards the 10, including many-to-many mapping tables.
  • The limit is applied by the efrpg tool, which picks the first 10 tables that have a primary key before your .tt filters run. Your filters then narrow within those 10; they cannot choose a different 10.
  • The same fallback happens if ReversePOCO.txt is missing from your Documents folder, or fails its signature check. The generated file tells you which of the three it was.
  • Templates released after v4.0.49 need the efrpg tool v1.1.0 or later, which is where the licence is now read. With an older tool they stop with a message telling you to run dotnet tool update -g Efrpg.

How do I renew an order?

Support

  • Any v3 or v4 version is supported with an active licence. One licence covers both.
  • Any changes/enhancements/bug fixes will be to the latest version. See Support Planning.
