Hash Encrypt Utility

A cyber-terminal aesthetic cryptographic hashing tool. Generate, verify, and inspect hashes for text and files using SHA-256, SHA-512, SHA-1, and MD5 — all via Node.js's built-in crypto module.

Getting Started

Prerequisites

• Node.js 18+
• npm 9+

Install

# Install all dependencies (backend + frontend)
npm run install:all

Or manually:

cd backend && npm install
cd ../frontend && npm install

Run in Development

Open two terminals:

Terminal 1 — Backend (port 3001)

cd backend
npm run dev

Terminal 2 — Frontend (port 5173)

cd frontend
npm run dev

Then open http://localhost:5173.

Build for Production

npm run build

Output goes to frontend/dist/.
