🚨 Breaking Changes

API argument rename:

pad_cols → fill_cols

pad_hierarchical → fill_mode ("hierarchical" or "independent")

New option: fill_cols_letters to select columns by Excel letters (["A","B","C"]).

The old pad_* names have been removed. Code using them must be updated.

✨ Improvements

Python API now mirrors the CLI exactly.

CLI flags: --fill-cols, --fill-cols-letters, --fill-mode

API params: fill_cols, fill_cols_letters, fill_mode

This makes switching between CLI and API seamless.

Clearer README examples showing new names.

🧹 Internal

Dropped backwards-compatibility shim for pad_cols / pad_hierarchical.

Tests updated to use only the new fill_* names.

Version bump to 0.3.0 to reflect the breaking API change.
