Code-Codex v0.3.48 improves startup verification and Windows installation reliability.

  • Selects the official Codex executable from its Windows package manifest, then verifies the running process by canonical path or file identity. This addresses false CC-START-PROCESS-004 failures while retaining the official-process check.
  • Adds safe expected/observed executable details to process diagnostics.
  • Retries transient installation file-sharing errors, preserves localized error text, and reports the operation, HRESULT, and Win32 code.
  • Rolls back partial installation state and verifies installed files and the desktop shortcut before reporting success.

Includes the setup EXE, MSI, ZIP, standalone uninstaller, and SHA-256 checksums. Verified locally with the UI build, Rust workspace tests, installer diagnostic test, installation, and release-file hash checks.
