Releases: RigZeeel/KeyAxis
Release list
KeyAxis v1.0.0
First public release.
What it does: turns a magnetic (Hall-effect) keyboard into real analog racing pedals. Press a key halfway and the car creeps; press it home and it floors.
Does it work with my keyboard?
Only if Windows shows it as VID 0416 / PID 7372 — the Redragon M68 / E-YOOSO HZ-68 and its rebadges. Check in Device Manager -> Keyboards -> your board -> Details -> Hardware Ids.
Install
Download KeyAxis-Setup.exe and run it. It installs the app, the ViGEmBus driver (bundled — no separate download), and optionally a fix for the Windows "ms-gamebar" popup that appears whenever a virtual controller connects. No Python required.
Everything it changes is reversible: the uninstaller restores your Game Bar settings to exactly how they were, and keeps your calibration unless you ask it to delete it.
Confirmed working
- BeamNG.drive — throttle on Right Trigger, brake on Left Trigger
- Live for Speed — use stick axes (triggers merge onto one axis in DirectInput)
- MX Bikes — partial; wants 5 independent axes, so full support needs the planned vJoy output mode
Notes
- Calibrate once (~1 min) so it learns your switches. It's remembered across upgrades.
- Pedal keys still type their letter by default — that's usually what you want, since games often use the same key for other things. There's an opt-in toggle to silence them.
- Got a different magnetic board? The device layer is pluggable — see "Adding your own board" in the README. Protocol captures welcome even if you can't finish the job.
