New

  • Download, block & friend shortcuts — D downloads the current image or video, I blocks the author (and skips their post), and A adds the author as a friend / follows them, all through your logged-in session. They're listed in the in-overlay help panel.
  • Split "always show" settings — the single always-show toggle is now two: Always show the count & skips and Always show the title & byline, so you can pin just the corner you want past the idle fade.
  • Quieter on-screen counts — the position counter and skipped-count badge are subtler (with a hover pill), plus a small corner spinner appears when the next slide is still loading while the chrome is hidden.

Fixed

  • Idle auto-hide — the overlay controls now hide on idle even when a control kept keyboard focus after a mouse click; previously they could stay on screen indefinitely. Keyboard focus still keeps the controls up (gated on :focus-visible).
  • "Downloading…" now flashes only when a download actually starts.
