First public experimental release of Samsung Region Override.

This app temporarily changes the SIM operator and/or app-visible SIM country reported by Android, then
restores the captured real values when the short disguise session ends.

Compatibility

End-to-end behavior has been validated only on Samsung SM-S938B, Android 16, One UI 8.5, with Shizuku
13.1.5. Other Samsung firmware and non-Samsung devices are experimental: the compatibility sample is still
one device/firmware combination, so treat anything else as untested.

Requires Android 10+, Shizuku 13+ and an active SIM/eSIM subscription. The app has no Internet
permission, telemetry or account system.

Important safety notice

Use this only for short sessions. A fake SIM operator can break IMS/VoLTE on the next registration.
End the disguise immediately after using the target apps. If service does not recover, disable and
re-enable that SIM in Android Settings or reboot.

Turning a layer switch off does not undo an already-live layer. Use End & restore.

Installation and verification

The public release package is com.riteldevelopment.carriertestoverride. Existing .debug test builds
use a different package name, so this APK installs alongside them and needs its own Shizuku grant.

The exact signed asset passed a clean Gradle 9.7.1 build, 17 unit tests, Android Lint with zero errors,
APK Signature Scheme v2 verification, resource parity checks for all 15 languages and manifest backup
exclusion checks. The reference phone disconnected before the final release-package reinstall, so that
specific packaging smoke test remains outstanding.
