v0.9.4

Windows installer now works on a clean PC. Earlier installers were missing DLLs, the VC++ runtime and the QML frontend, so they failed to start on a machine without a dev setup. The installer now bundles everything, runs 64-bit, installs silently without hanging, and migrates old (x86) installs. CI now launch-tests the packaged app before publishing.

Faster and lighter: pages switch instantly and the active page is highlighted. Hidden pages stay idle (the OBD grid, MediaRoom position ticks, marquees, the 3D vehicle view and Android motion sensors no longer use CPU in the background), and track skips and settings sections are quicker.

OBD: 37 more PID values (0x61–0xB2) plus VIN read. Fixes for reconnecting and parsing trouble codes.

Robustness: settings and downloads survive a power cut, and there are fixes across playback, ESP32, Spotify and shutdown crashes. For phone mirroring, a use-after-free in the audio socket, stalls and leaks on stop, and unbounded packet reads are fixed.

Settings: compact toggles, page titles that fit their width, automatic clock sizing, and you stay in the same card when the nav bar moves.

Orange Pi head unit: at boot the updater applies an update fetched on the previous run, then fetches the next one in the background, so boot is never delayed and files never change under a running app.

Android: one-time uninstall needed. From 0.9.4 on, releases are signed with a permanent key, so future updates install over the top and keep your settings. Coming from 0.9.3 or earlier, uninstall the old OCTAVE once before installing this APK.

v0.9.3

Android is now fully working (verified on a Galaxy S22): 3D player objects and the 3D vehicle view load, YouTube Music search and downloads complete, HTTPS works (OpenSSL bundled), icon glyphs render, and the offline wiki opens inside the app. The Music button no longer goes dead on a cold start, the duplicate "Downloads - -" track is gone, and the About page shows the build commit.

Desktop: waveform visualizer fixed on the C++ build, cached page navigation (bottom-bar switches are instant and no longer leak a hidden page per press), music player objects in MediaRoom, embedded offline wiki, redesigned settings icons.

Note: each release is signed with a fresh key, so on Android uninstall the previous OCTAVE before installing this APK.

Known issues in this release: the Android APK crashes at launch (missing libQt6QuickTimeline), and the Linux x86_64 AppImage cannot load the music player objects. Use v0.9.2 instead. The Windows, macOS and Linux arm64 builds are unaffected.

Waveform visualizer fixed on the C++ build, cached page navigation, music player objects in MediaRoom, embedded offline wiki, redesigned settings icons.
