SPS Linux live images for 2026-08-31-10.

Use these instead of -9. Plasma on -8/-9 could start GPU init then die
without kwin_wayland_wrapper. All live images had internet by IP but no
DNS: no nsswitch.conf, no resolv.conf, and dhcpcd ran before udev.

What changed:

  • kwin_wayland_wrapper, libxcb-cursor, and xdg-permission-store on Plasma
  • /etc/resolv.conf with 1.1.1.1 and 8.8.8.8 (DHCP may overwrite)
  • /etc/nsswitch.conf hosts: files dns
  • udev before dhcpcd; dhcpcd on slim discs; busybox udhcpc fallback

Assets:

  • sps-live-tty.iso — console live image with recipes and a compiler
  • sps-live-tty-slim.iso — small console image; setup needs the network
  • sps-live-plasma.iso — Plasma/Wayland live session (Konsole -> setup)

QEMU still needs a writable target disk besides the ISO. Prefer
virtio-gpu or stdvga.
