Fixes "Myrmidon could not start" on Macs where no Myrmidon server was already running.

Install

Download Myrmidon-0.1.0-beta.3-macos-arm64.dmg (macOS on Apple silicon) and drag Myrmidon to Applications.

This beta is signed, but not yet notarized by Apple, so the first time macOS asks you to confirm:

  1. Open Myrmidon from Applications. macOS says it can't verify the app; click Done.
  2. Open System Settings → Privacy & Security, scroll down to Myrmidon, and click Open Anyway.
  3. Open Myrmidon again and choose Open Anyway.

You only do this once.

Fixed since beta.2

  • The app can start its own server: the build now ships a file the server needs. Before, a Mac with no Myrmidon server already running got "Myrmidon could not start".
  • If the server ever fails to start, the alert now says why and where its log is (~/.myrmidon/logs/desktop-server.log).
