Added

  • Beacon mode for Satellites. Collapse any Satellite to a small floating chip that stays pinned and out of the way — its live status light and session colour visible at a glance. Click the chip to expand it back, or dock it to UnionTerminal. Beacons hold their place through sleep/wake, and follow you to your laptop screen when you unplug an external monitor.
  • Paste a screenshot into the terminal. Copy an image — or take a screen-snip — and paste: UnionTerminal drops the image's file path into your prompt so tools like Claude Code can read it instantly. Dragging an image in works the same way.
  • Unified notifications. Toasts, the what's-new banner, onboarding, and surveys now share one tidy corner system that stays out of your way instead of stacking up or covering your work.

Improved

  • Stays smooth under heavy output. Running several agents in one tab — or any high-volume output — no longer lags or freezes. Output renders in batches with GPU acceleration, so the UI stays responsive.
  • Calmer, smarter Satellites. Reach toward a faded Satellite and it brightens instantly; clicking its sidebar card reliably summons it to the front; pinned Satellites stay on top even after a screen-snip.
  • Polished throughout. Smooth entrance animations for panels, cards, menus, and dropdowns, and one consistent tooltip style across the whole app.
  • More reliable session restore. Your tabs, working directories, and split layout come back faithfully after a restart or update.
  • Cleaner pastes. Large pastes are paced so the first characters are never dropped.
  • Lighter long sessions. Long, compacted sessions use noticeably less memory.

Fixed

  • Windows stability hardening. A foundation-up pass against rare crashes and data loss: PTY callbacks, clipboard reads, and the close-time workspace save are now guarded, with opt-in crash visibility so problems surface instead of vanishing silently.
  • No multi-monitor GPU crashes. Dragging windows between monitors with different scaling no longer risks a GPU or renderer crash.
  • No heavy-output freeze. Fixed the spinning-cursor hang and the rare crash during very high-volume output.
  • Cleaner tabs. The active terminal tab now connects seamlessly to its pane.

Privacy

  • Privacy & data controls in Settings. A single Anonymous usage switch — on by default — counts installs and which features get used, and never your commands, file paths, or terminal content. An optional Help shape the product toggle lets you help guide what we build next; it's anonymous, and you can reset or delete your data anytime. Honors DO_NOT_TRACK.

macOS

  • Beacon chrome hides the native traffic lights while collapsed and restores them on expand, so the chip stays clean.
