Robotweax SRT 0.2.9 adds Backup recovery and member-lifetime fixes, versioned Group/RTT observations and optional Standby RTT monitoring. It also includes bounded listener-handshake handoff, asynchronous rejection pacing and same-backend Windows SDK upgrade/repair improvements.

Project version 0.2.9, shared C ABI 0.2, compatible SRT API and srt_getversion() 1.5.7. The public export inventory contains 84 symbols; previous exports and structure layouts are preserved. Source-tree C++ consumers must rebuild.

  • Backup recovery preserves cumulative acknowledgement/retention rules, cancels an inferior probe when the higher-priority path recovers, and handles failed-member cleanup with bounded native UDP reservation.
  • Four additive versioned C getters expose path labels, normal RTT, local Backup sender authority/generation and Standby RTT outcomes. These observations do not establish DATA-path health or authenticate a path.
  • Standby RTT is disabled by default. Required monitoring needs bilateral Robotweax Backup Live Message Caller/Listener negotiation with both TSBPD directions enabled; unsupported or one-sided setup fails. Monitoring does not drive normal RTT, DATA recovery, congestion control or member selection.
  • Windows SDKs retain backend coexistence and add same-backend directory-preserving upgrades, same-version repair and guarded obsolete-file cleanup. The signed OpenSSL and experimental BCrypt installers are independently rebuilt, timestamped and tested as the exact delivered bytes.

OpenSSL/AES-CTR defaults and feature opt-ins remain unchanged. AES-GCM, MAXREXMITBW and session authentication retain their documented opt-ins. No configurable hold-down, automatic reconnect or RTT-based selection policy is introduced.

Live final-packet loss without a subsequent sequence gap retains its existing recovery boundary; complete finite transfers use File mode. Runtime-control authentication limitations remain tracked in #112 and #190. Standby measurement traffic is correlated but unauthenticated, including with encrypted/authenticated DATA.

See the release notes and qualification record for exact sources, successful runs and limits. Selected Linux ARM64 resource/300-second loopback results and scoped Group evidence do not imply WAN/NIC/24-hour or all-platform guarantees.

Downloads include the two signed Windows installers, post-signing SHA256SUMS and the annotated-tag tag-provenance.json. The separate Homebrew ARM64 bottle is qualified in Tap #8; its maintainer publication remains separate.

Final acceptance on 2026-10-13:

  • Source and complete media CI: 52 successful jobs and the Required CI gate; one optional Live-timing diagnostic skipped.
  • Package managers: Homebrew source installation and all six vcpkg profiles passed. Linux packages: Ubuntu 24.04 and Fedora 44 passed.
  • Windows SDK: twelve variants, both installers, actual signed 0.2.8 upgrade/repair/rejection/coexistence, protected independent reconstruction, Authenticode signing by Robotweax GmbH with trusted timestamps and exact signed-installer retesting passed. Downloaded draft assets match signed artifact 11801367380 byte for byte.

Protected annotated tag object 2e1055a4733c62adfe4de7369d2fb0fd17c8f450 selects commit a87779d9c3d831583d32b2f61cae5b81edb05537. Product paths equal frozen source 80873657469344becb9c35f5306d0050ec5a566d; executable recipes remain unchanged after preparation. The tag annotation is not a GPG signature; Windows Authenticode acceptance is separate.

The first unpublished tag attempt failed its installed-documentation check. PR #315 corrected one noninstalled relative link; product/ABI/package recipes were unchanged. With explicit maintainer approval, only the unpublished v0.2.9 ref was corrected under an exact old-object lease; the original tag protection was immediately restored. Original failed attempts and tag object b021060de696ad92b6eeb30b41e74098feb91db2 remain in the audit evidence and are excluded from acceptance. This published tag must never be moved or recreated.

Source-tag documents retain their pre-publication status. This release page records completed final acceptance; Completed documentation PR #316 records publication without changing the tagged source.
