  • Support loading plugins from namespace packages #7
    • Note: Namespace packages are not recursive or recommended

  • Remove dependency on pkg_resources from setuptools
    • Now uses packaging.version for version parsing
    • Now uses importlib.metadata or the backport importlib-metadata (Python <= 3.9) to query entrypoints
  • Drop support for Python 2.7
  • Drop support for Python 3.5
  • Raises deprecation warnings if the following decorators are imported from Pluginlib and used. They will be removed in a future release. #8
