HIRAKU v0.1.4
New in 0.1.4:
- Konami Python games on Windows (pop'n music 9-14, DrumMania V/V2): the Windows package now has the Python core too. Add the game's folder with
biosandkeys; it needs a graphics driver with Vulkan. - Adding games: several games' files in one drop (or a whole MAME
romsfolder) each get added; a Firebeat game's MAME set added after its CDs now goes in (it was refused, so Keyboardmania had no security dongle and no synth: no keyboard sounds). - Keyboardmania: the attract demo's music stops when the demo ends.
- GuitarFreaks 9th Mix runs (it stopped at "DATA 7 : INITIALIZING", in MAME too).
- beatmania IIDX club kits (IIDX with DDR 2nd Club Version, Club Version 2) run, and play club sessions with DDR 2nd Club Version over the session cable (command line for now: docs/PLAY.md).
- Known: in this release, add Konami Python games in a drop of their own (dropped together with other games' files, only the Python games are added; fixed for the next release).
- Windows: cardio card readers; saves that replace a file are written (the e-AMUSEMENT server's and card units' were kept from their first save).
Download hiraku-windows-x86_64.zip (Windows 10 or later) or hiraku-linux-x86_64.tar.xz (glibc 2.35 or later: Ubuntu 22.04, Debian 12, Fedora 36 and newer), unpack it anywhere, and start the launcher (bin\hiraku.exe, bin/hiraku). Drop your own game data on its window: the MAME ROM set (.zip, .7z or a folder) and its CHDs, all at once. Nothing else to install.
Games that run from this release: DJ Main (beatmania 1st MIX to THE FINAL, beatmania CORE REMIX, pop'n music 1-3, pop'n stage, hiphopmania), System 573 (Dance Dance Revolution 1st MIX to EXTREME and Dancing Stage, GuitarFreaks and DrumMania 1st to 10th/11th Mix, Percussion Freaks) and Twinkle (beatmania IIDX 1st to 8th style and Substream, with the background video). Some versions still need a dump nobody has made; each game's page in the launcher says what it needs.
Firebeat (beatmania III, pop'n music 4-8, ParaParaParadise, Keyboardmania) too: HIRAKU finds its way around each game's program by itself.
Konami Python (pop'n music 9-14, DrumMania V/V2) in both packages: add the game's folder together with the folders bios (the arcade BIOS) and keys (the MagicGate key files), which HIRAKU can't ship. They need Vulkan or OpenGL drivers.
The packages are portable: settings and saves stay in their user folder. The FFmpeg and SDL3 source archives are here for their LGPL/zlib licences; the Python core is built from PCSX2 Reliquary 1.9.4 (GPL-3.0), whose source is the reliquary-1.9.4 release's zip, with HIRAKU's oracle/pcsx2/reliquary-oracle.patch.
HIRAKU v0.1.3
New in 0.1.3:
- The launcher fits small screens (down to 640x480): every window shrinks to fit, and Settings scrolls with OK and Cancel kept in view.
- Windows sound: Settings > Audio > Output lists your sound devices and installed ASIO drivers ("ASIO: …",
--audio-asio: the card's own driver, no Windows audio in between). "Exclusive (WASAPI)" (--audio-exclusive) gives the game the device to itself, for the lowest latency without ASIO. Either one falls back to Windows' default output, saying why, if the device or driver refuses. See docs/PLAY.md, Latency.

HIRAKU v0.1.2
New in 0.1.2: Windows: CD games added from CHDs no longer stall (beatmania IIDX was reset by its watchdog every 30 s; System 573 CD games were affected too).

HIRAKU v0.1.1
New in 0.1.1: the Konami Python games (pop'n music 9-14, DrumMania V/V2) in the Linux package; beatmania IIDX shown 16:9, as on its cabinet's widescreen CRT.

PCSX2 Reliquary 1.9.4 source (for building HIRAKU's Python core)
The source of PCSX2 Reliquary 1.9.4, the version HIRAKU's Konami Python core is built and checked against (oracle/pcsx2/README.md). Hosted here because no public copy of this version exists; HIRAKU's release workflow builds against it. PCSX2 and Reliquary are GPL-3.0 (see the licence files in the zip); this is their unmodified release zip, SHA-256 da9b9a601e8b3eeede9eb8bae6d46e81e1001beb98b438859aa847c75b547884. Not a HIRAKU release: download HIRAKU from the v* releases.
