Changes are this: - Prisoners must be given access to legal counsel provided that counsel is requested and available. Additionally, a prisoner can choose not to speak if they do not have a legal counsel provided it is available. - Prisoners must have the right to a fair trial considering that it's not inconvenient for the current circumstances. All evidence obtained via unlawful means such as through an unlawful search or through coercion during interrogations fall under the "fruit of the poisonous tree" law and that evidence is to be excluded. An unlawful search is a search without a warrant or a probable cause, thus being unlawful. A probable cause is if the suspect was under a lawful arrest, not if they were acting suspiciously.

About the PR
These additions to space law gives prisoners access to legal counsel and additionally a right to a fair trial. It also adds a "fruit of the poisonous tree" doctrine. This is to counteract the corruption in security and makes it so you can only get convicted off of lawful evidence. Additionally, you get the right to a fair trial and legal counsel.
Why / Balance
Here are my changes to spacelaw:
Prisoners must be given access to legal counsel provided that counsel is requested and available. Additionally, a prisoner can choose not to speak if they do not have a legal counsel, provided it is available.
Prisoners must have the right to a fair trial on extreme and above sentences considering that it's not inconvenient for the current circumstances. Otherwise it depends on general consensus and on the circumstances if a court trial is necessary.
A crewmate may legally decline any search conducted without probable cause such as if they're under arrest or a warrant while the alert level is green.
All evidence obtained via unlawful means such as through an unlawful search or through coercion during interrogations fall under the "fruit of the poisonous tree" law and that evidence is to be excluded. An unlawful search is a search without a warrant or a probable cause, thus being unlawful.
