We noticed Orion was a bit too hungry for data, so we put it on a diet. This update is highly recommended for everyone to save your data plan.

📉 1. Critical Fix: High Internet Usage

Orion was checking for updates too enthusiastically, downloading metadata from GitHub every time you opened the app or refreshed a tab.

  • The Fix: Implemented "Smart Caching" (ETags). Orion now asks GitHub: "Has anything changed since I last checked?"
  • The Result: If nothing changed, the download size is 0 KB. Data usage has dropped by ~95% for frequent users.
  • Credit: A huge shoutout to @Mysteriza, a sharp-eyed user who reported this bandwidth hog. Your vigilance saved everyone gigabytes!

🤝 2. Visual Trust Levels

We've gamified the App Submission process!

  • Trust Meter: The submission screen now shows your Trust Level.
  • Dynamic Cooldown: Watch your cooldown timer drop in real-time as you level up.
  • Visuals: Added a progress bar and rank badge (from Newcomer to Elite) directly in the submission modal so you know exactly what your status is.

🔧 3. Native Installer Fix

  • The "app(1).apk" Bug: Fixed a critical issue in the AppTracker plugin where the Android Download Manager would rename updates if an old file existed, causing the installer to fail.
  • The Fix: Orion now automatically cleans up old installer files before downloading new ones, ensuring updates apply seamlessly every time.

✨ 4. General Polish

  • Fixed a layout glitch in the "About" section for smaller screens.
  • Improved error messages when GitHub API rate limits are hit.
