Dear interested User,
the "DCDCv9-3r Q&A" discussion has grown so large that it has become difficult to navigate and manage. To keep the communication efficient, please do not post new comments in that discussion. (Edit May 16th 2026: I've now locked this discussion because it still grew.)
Instead, please check if an open discussion for your topic already exists. If not, feel free to create a new discussion or create a new issue in case of missing/wrong components or things which don't work on your (unmodified) replica. For modified replicas please use the discussions.
I am receiving questions daily, and as much as I’d like to help everyone, I cannot guarantee a personal response to every discussion in the future. If you have experience with a specific topic, please help your fellow builders by answering their questions :)
How to post effectively
Categorize: If you have a question about the 12V version, keep all related sub-topics (like its control loop) within that same discussion to keep info consolidated.
Be Descriptive: Use technical keywords rather than conversational sentences.
Tips for good questions
For example: If your converter shut down at high load, please also mention when it was inside the accumulator container and what air temperature it was inside. If this is not mentioned, I would assume just a setup on a testbench, which totally changes the possible solutions.
To ensure that your questions are not overlooked, please number your questions. This makes it much easier for me (or others) to refer to them and ensure every point is answered.
If a question relates to a specific component, please reference it directly. If e.g. a MOSFET blew up, write if it was Q8 or Q9 and not "a SR MOSFET" (because there are two of them).
Thank you for understanding and for your contributions!
If you have ideas to improve the discussions, please let me know below :)
