As noted by @SimoneA96 , the time is ripe to start thinking about writing a paper about PyART (especially since at this point it has been used already in a number of works, not all of them from our group!).
Given that there is no new science here, I think we could/should probably submit to joss, this requires minimal writing (just a markdown file, really) and the review would come in the form of issues to the code, which I quite like.
