Aviary v0.1.1
Aviary v0.1.1 — Automated Browser Provisioning & Seamless CLI Setup
This release introduces zero-config automatic browser provisioning for Aviary CLI, ensuring out-of-the-box functionality across fresh environments without manual browser installations.
What's Changed
- Automatic Browser Provisioning: Detects missing Playwright Chromium binaries on initial run and automatically downloads them before launching.
- Clean stdout Guarantee: Download progress and provisioning status are written exclusively to
stderr, preserving 100% cleanstdoutfor JSON output and stdio MCP integrations (aviary-mcp). - System Chrome Fallback: Falls back to existing host Google Chrome installations (Stable, Beta, Dev, Canary) if browser download fails or environment is offline.
- Opt-out Control: Environment variable
AVIARY_SKIP_BROWSER_INSTALL=trueallows skipping automatic installation in pre-provisioned or air-gapped CI/CD environments. - Prebuilt Cross-Platform Binaries: Binaries for Linux (amd64, arm64), macOS (amd64, arm64), and Windows (amd64).
