What's New

• EXIF metadata over SFTP — The new optional SwiftSFTPEXIFKit product reads, edits, and removes image metadata with RuiNelson/EXIFKit 0.3.0 or later. Reading fetches the byte ranges needed for metadata instead of downloading the whole image.
• Conveniences for clients and open files — Use imageMetadata, writeImageMetadata, and removeImageMetadata on SFTP clients or file handles. Reading by path also loads the embedded thumbnail before closing the file.
• Safe replacement when editing by path — Edits write to a temporary file and rename it over the destination, preserving permission bits and cleaning up on failure. Edits can replace the original image or save to another path.
• Mac Catalyst support — The package now explicitly declares Mac Catalyst 14 as its minimum.

Add .product(name: "SwiftSFTPEXIFKit", package: "SwiftSFTP") to your target. It supplies SwiftSFTP and re-exports EXIFKit, so there is no need to add EXIFKit's product separately.

The integration supports macOS 12+, iOS 15+, tvOS 15+, watchOS 8+, visionOS, Mac Catalyst, and Linux; its module is empty on Android. See the integration guide for usage and file lifetime requirements.
