AI side panel: chats such as ChatGPT and Claude now load, the panel slides out smoothly, and choosing which AI it opens has moved to its own settings (Menu, Tools, AI side panel). Ad blocking no longer breaks ad platforms you visit yourself, such as the AdMob console. Games: power-ups in Breakout and Snake, plus Flappy Bird, Pong, Space Invaders and Connect Four. Four new closing animations: Switch off, Swirl, Melt and Dissolve.

  • Import from another browser (Menu, Tools): bookmarks, history, open tabs and extensions from Edge, Chrome, Brave, Vivaldi, Opera and Firefox. Chrome Web Store extensions are fetched again from the store; others are copied. Passwords come from a file you export yourself, and Mica offers to delete that file afterwards. Sign-ins and cookies stay behind.
  • Downloads: a Run anyway choice next to Run restricted, for when you trust the file. The buttons no longer run off the card.
  • The games follow Mica's light or dark theme and switch while open. The offline page now opens the Games page.
  • The AI side panel is redesigned: a rounded card of its own, a header with the AI's name, and one-click pills to switch providers. The window's buttons move into its header while it's open.

  • AI side panel (off by default, turn it on in Menu, Tools). Opens with Ctrl+Shift+Space or the chat button. Choose ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Copilot, Perplexity or your own address; it uses your profile. The window grows outward so the page keeps its width, except when maximized, snapped or in full screen. A closed panel freezes, then frees its memory.
  • Ask AI on selected text: a small bar over your selection and an Ask AI item in the right-click menu, with Explain, Summarize, Translate and Ask. Never on Banking jar tabs.
  • Choose your closing animation in Personalize: Stars, Fade, Drop, Shatter or Off, with a live preview.
  • The sign-in code can now be copied with one click, and selected.

  • Six new built-in games: Snake, 2048, Minesweeper, Breakout, Sudoku and Memory, next to Tetris. All work offline.
  • A Games page at mica://games lists them with your best scores; Spotlight can open each one too (try Play Sudoku).
  • Sudoku makes a fresh puzzle every time, each with exactly one answer, at three levels.
  • Tetris no longer draws frames while paused or waiting, saving CPU and battery.

  • Make your own spaces: New space in the space menu, plus Rename and Remove. Removing a space moves its tabs to Personal.
  • Spaces you make are kept across restarts and shared by every window of the profile.
  • The account card picture is always round, and the card shows your Discord banner (or its colour) once the server provides it.
  • Reading mode uses much less memory for large pictures.

  • Fixed a crash when clicking Save as (or other text buttons) in the download prompt and other site bubbles.
  • Your Discord picture shows on the account card again.
  • Smoother sidebar slide: Mica no longer re-lays out the tab list on every frame while the sidebar opens or closes.

  • Faster browsing: the 2FA helper no longer re-reads busy pages on every change. It only looks for a setup key when a page has a box for a code, and rests in hidden tabs.
  • Right-click Back or Forward to see that tab's earlier or later pages and jump straight to one.
  • Safer Discord sign-in: Mica shows a short code that you type on the sign-in page, so a sign-in link someone else started can't be finished with your account.
  • Menus and dialogs skip the text-size scaling when text is at its normal size.

Mica 0.12.12 - 2FA codes

  • Two-step sign-in codes built in: when a site shows its 2FA setup key, Mica offers to save it in your encrypted vault and fills the first code for you.
  • After that, Mica fills the site's 6-digit code by itself whenever it asks, including rows of one-digit boxes. Pages only ever get the 30-second code, never the key.
  • Passwords shows each login's current code with a countdown and a Copy code button, and you can paste a 2FA setup key into a login.
  • Mica can't read QR images yet; use the setup key shown under Can't scan.

Mica 0.12.11 - security fixes

  • Signed updates: every installer is now signed with Mica's own release key. Mica checks the signature before downloading and again before running an update, and refuses anything unsigned.
  • Vault sync: if the server offers an older copy of your vault than this device has seen, Mica asks before using it.
  • Settings sync: turning strict tracking protection off on another device now asks here first.
  • Docked DevTools: web pages can no longer reach the local DevTools connection.
