Agents SDK - Release Notes v1.6.9
In-Car AI Experience + Edge Deployment Expansion
This release brings a major upgrade to our in-vehicle AI experience, stronger voice reliability, improved agent tooling, and broader edge deployment support.
Highlights
New in-car AI experience
Introduced a polished vehicle assistant experience with voice and chat interactions, navigation, weather, music, and climate controls—all designed to showcase production-style automotive AI workflows.
Meet Hannah [PRO plan members]
Added Hannah, a deployable edge AI voice assistant available separately from the SDK. Hannah makes it easier to evaluate and demonstrate complete on-device assistant experiences out of the box.
Smarter navigation UX workflow
Navigation now supports stateful routing, multi-stop trips, active route tracking, and current location awareness for more realistic, agent-driven travel experiences.
Mobile + tablet UI support
Added responsive experiences across phones and tablets in both portrait and landscape orientations.
Stronger LLM interoperability
Improved tool-calling compatibility across OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, and Ollama, with better handling for tool IDs, schemas, reasoning flows, and long-running sessions.
Safer execution paths
Tool failures are now handled gracefully and surfaced back to agents instead of interrupting execution.
Expanded edge deployment support
Added Linux ARM64 build/release support, including packaged artifact.
