v0.14.0-rc.1
Pre-releaseRunWield v0.14.0-rc.1 — MIT release candidate
RunWield Core is now open source under the MIT license. The CLI, TUI, personal browser Workspace, ACP server, and self-hosted encrypted Plan review remain free forever. Model-provider usage charges are separate.
New home and skills installation
- The main repository is now RunWield/runwield. Existing GitHub repository URLs redirect to the new organization.
- Portable Guide, Ideator, and Review skills now live in RunWield/skills, so installation no longer clones the main repository.
- Existing skills users should reinstall from the new source using the same agents and scope:
npx skills@latest add RunWield/skills. Add-gfor an existing global installation. Saved update sources do not switch automatically.
Improvements since v0.12.4
- Plan review is conversational: questions and feedback can receive replies without forcing a Plan revision. Review input queues with the next message, and approval stays distinct from conversation activity.
- Standalone Code Review can run AI review and turn findings into review annotations while preserving the owner's edits.
/exportincludes the complete committed Session across transcript segments as JSON or self-contained HTML./sharepublishes both formats to a secret GitHub Gist. Anyone with the Gist link can read the exported conversation, including recorded thinking and tool output.- Compatible ACP clients can send mid-turn corrections through the advertised
_session/steeringextension; this is an extension, not a standard ACP v1 method. - Shell command wrapping through Snip is more conservative, and invalid review targets report errors without crashing.
- Packaging, documentation publication, skills synchronization, and TypeScript tooling received maintenance improvements.
License and availability
MIT applies to this release and the v0.14 release line. Earlier versions retain their tagged licenses; bundled third-party components retain their own terms and notices. The complete personal workflow stays in Core.
This release publishes Linux and macOS builds for x64 and ARM64. New Windows packages and WinGet publication remain paused; older Windows assets remain at their original tags.
